Watercolour Artists Gallery

Maureen was raised in Derbyshire. When she wanted to be a teacher, she was told that Art was not academic. She trained as a primary school teacher and taught for several years.

She moved to Cornwall and started painting twenty years ago. She is self-taught and tries to capture light, atmosphere and movement in her paintings. Colour is very important to her.

Maureen’s exhibitions have raised over £4000 for charities, including Marie Curie Cancer Research, the Samaritans, the Precious Lives Appeal, RNLI and her local Surf Club.

Her paintings are hung worldwide and many have been used by national card companies. Recently, one of Maureen’s paintings was accepted by the Mall Galleries.
